Apple Countersues Motorola over Patent Infringements PDF Print E-mail

Apple had just response to Motorola's patent infringement suit with  by filling two lawsuits against Motorola.

The two lawsuits, which field in a U.S. District Court in the Western District of Wisconsin , allege six patent infringements by Motorola. And many popular Motorola handsets which be known as the Droid, Droid 2, Droid X, Cliq, Cliq XT, BackFlip, Devour A555, Devour i1 and Charm 1, were related to several technologies originally used in the Apple iPhone as the lawsuits accusing.

54% of H.264 Web Video joins HTML5 standard PDF Print E-mail

The sizable growth rates of the HTML5 compatible online video websites might prove that the lack of flash on iOS is appropriate? It seems like Steve Jobs' adventurous decision was on the right track.

In the first month of this year, 10 percent of all video on the Web was HTML5 compatible. While the number grew to 26 percent in May, which the time of iPad was released. And 54 percent of video websites are available in the open HTML5 standard by now.


Here are some discoveries from MeFeedia:

    •    54% of web video is now available for playback in HTML5. Double in 5 months.
    •    Flash remains the dominant player within desktop environments.
    •    Mobile is driving HTML5 video adoption. HTML5 compatible (H.264 mostly) video is the most common format for mobiles (inc. iPhone, iPad and Android).
    •    Publishers & platforms now offer iframe embeds, allowing them to switch players dynamically, depending on the access device.

And now the company has announced that it has submitted its first iPhone app -- Firefox Home to the App Store. This app is supposed to offer users a quick access to their  Firefox desktop history, open tabs and bookmarks. If you have a iPhone, iPod touch or iPad, then you are able to easily look up information on the go and pick up where they left off from their desktop browsing. To let these happens on your iPhone, you need to be sure that you already have Firefox Sync set up on your desktop or laptop, then all your needs is right by your side.

Apple's new device iPhone 4 is no doubt the biggest winner, it beat the iPad and become the Apple's fastest selling item. Apple has just announced the company sold 1.7 million iPhone 4 units in through Saturday, within just three days after it was launched on June 24.

This is really a dazzling number, iPhone 4 was  successful, and it's the biggest successful product launch in Apple's history. The iPhone 4 has become the new star, now it being available for sale in the US, UK, France,  Germany and Japan, and turned out that more then 6 iPhone 4 units sold every second.
