Nintendo realized that Apple is becoming dangerous for innovation and market. After its profits tumbled at the Japanese giant for the first time in six year (drop from $3.03 billion to $2.48 billion), the big N's CEO Satoru Iwata considered that the war with Sony is over, while Apple is the "enemy of the future".
Just a few weeks after Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime claimed that they don't worried about Apple, but now, seems they have changed their mind. Since iPad launched, more and more HD games released on Apple's platform, and iPhone OS 4 is coming soon, Nintendo now feels nervous about the increase market share of Apple. The last time when things went bad for big N, they released Wii to solve the problem, maybe this time they need to release a phone? |
