According to a report, the next-generation iPhone will get many improvements especially the display that will make it to the top among smartphones. This topic first reported by Daring Fireball's John Gruber said that the next-generation iPhone will carry an improved screen, which will be a resolution of 960 x 640 pixels, up from 480 x 320 in the current iPhone.
Digitimes citing sources from Taiwan-based component markers that Foxconn, the manufacturer, is planning to ship 24 million new iPhone in June. Apple is expected to unveil the next-generation iPhone during Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference.
By incorporating FFS technology, which enables a wider viewing angle and clearer visual quality under in sunlight, Apple is aiming to improve the handset's e-book reader features and promote its iBooks Store. HTC's Hero smartphone has already adopted this technology.The report also said the sharper resolution further widens the gap with Android-based smartphones, which provide 854×480 displays as the highest resolution offerings. The iPhone 4G will run on the Arm Cortex A8 processor... 512MB [of RAM]... [and a 33% thinner touch panel will allow for] more space for larger [and longer lasting] battery modules.
