The next Apple TV has been rumored to be based on the same OS with the next iPhone, and it will be a totally remained device built upon both the hardware and software architecture of the iPhone 4G/HD, and the price will be $99.
According to an Engadget source, the device is rumored to have the same internals, down to that A4 CPU and a limited amount of flash storage - just 16GB, but can offer full 1080p HD output, and the device will be "quite small". Apple TV will get more closely into Apple's mobile offerings. To let these happen, Apple will offer network streaming for devices like Time Capsules while mooing to cloud-based streaming that works within iPhone OS. So this is why the next Apple TV has been described by some as "an iPHone without a screen." The report didn't mention any about app support, but since the new device will work within iPhone OS, the app support will be the most expected point. Will Apple bring a doozy for us?
